A recent terror attack has struck Christchurch New Zealand last Friday, 15th March. There were two shootings at two mosques down in Christchurch, Al Noor Mosque and Linwood Islamic Centre.
A gunman, known to be an Australian 28-year-old white man, is behind one of the extreme case of mass shooting at Al Noor. He live-streamed himself for 17 minutes, driving and parking at Al Noor Mosque before making himself inside and shooting at every victim.
He was armed with at least one semi-automatic gun and several ammunition clips - all of which appeared to have writing scribbled all over.
In his video, he has said: "subscribe to pewdiepie" before making his drive down.
After entering the mosque, he shot numerously and continuously - some were shot multiple times with no remorse. The victims were seen crawling to their survival but to no avail.
He soon exited the mosque and began shooting at random on-coming cars repeatedly before returning to his car and getting more.
Witnesses have heard at least 50 shots coming from the mosque and many schools and shops are in lock down and to remain until the coast is clear. Police are urging people to stay indoors and to report any suspicious behaviour.
He claims that the reasoning for his shooting is to prove that no one is safe, including New Zealand and that the shootings can happen anywhere and any time.
The numbers that have been reported was 51. Some of the victims were as young as three years old.

It has been a really tragic and emotional week - people giving their love and support for the victims of the attack. The shootings in the two mosques has been something of a realisation - that no matter how much people try to tear our country apart, you cannot. When something like this happens, we only become stronger. To the terrorist who killed all those innocent people, we condemn you and whatever you do. You do not understand the meaning of love and acceptance and for that, you do not deserve even the slightest bit of respect. We are one - and I thank you New Zealand, because you have made me proud to be Kiwi.
Jacinda Ardern has made an amazing presence in representing New Zealand and she has made us strong. She makes me proud of being in New Zealand and her response shows remorse and empathy.

Respectfully, I'm sending all those people in Christchurch my love and support. Feel free to donate what you can to the victims as they need all the help they can get. There has been an out pour of love and donations, people writing letters, messages, books of condolences, offering free legal services, mental health services, prayers, and a past event on Friday, 'Scarves in Solidarity'. This has given me so much hope and I really wish that we can undo the wrong - but we can't. So I only hope that we change the minds of the people who still condemn and reject Muslims. They are a part of our community, society and nation. They are us.

My prayers are with the victims and their family. This is an act to which we must all stand against. We come together as one and we are all a family.
This man needs to pay for his actions.
The events in Christchurch are distressing. If you, or someone you know, needs mental wellbeing support or advice then call or text 1737 anytime. There is advice on coping after a traumatic event here https://www.health.govt.nz/node/9714 It includes information for parents for children.
